The $4 Billion Problem Hiding in Nearly Every Fast-Food Location

You show up to your favorite fast-food restaurant for a quick meal. But the line is too long, and you’re starving. So you bail.

You’re not alone. 93% of monthly fast-food visitors in America say their top frustration is long lines. And while you miss out on chicken nuggets and fries, restaurant owners lose significant revenue they can’t afford to miss.

So brands like White Castle use Miso Robotics’ AI-powered kitchen restaurant robots to run their fry stations, keeping kitchen operations smooth, workers safe, and customers happy.

Aided by a collaboration with NVIDIA, Miso’s AI-powered Flippy Fry Station robot works 2X faster than average fry cooks. That means operators serve more customers and unlock up to 3X more profits per location. And that means much shorter lines for you.

World launched AgentKit, a developer toolkit that lets a verified person delegate their World ID to an AI agent, creating what it calls human-backed agents. The key implication is not just identity infrastructure, but trust infrastructure for agentic commerce and online transactions, where proving that an agent represents a real person may become a gating layer for marketplaces and payment systems.

Arango launched Contextual Data Platform 4.0, built around a new Contextual Data Layer designed to give agents and AI applications access to unified, current, and trusted business context. It also introduced an Agentic AI Suite with 20+ built-in AI services, reinforcing a growing reality in enterprise agent deployments: reliable agents increasingly depend less on the model itself and more on the data layer beneath it.

Alibaba launched Wukong, a new enterprise AI platform that can coordinate multiple AI agents for tasks like document editing, spreadsheet work, meeting transcription, and research. Wukong is currently in invitation-only beta and integrates with DingTalk, which Reuters reports has more than 20 million corporate users, making this one of the more credible large-scale enterprise agent distribution plays coming out of China.

SEC Chair Signals New Crypto Rulebook, Starting With a Token Safe Harbor

SEC Chair Paul Atkins said the agency is moving toward a new crypto framework, including a proposed safe harbor that could let startups launch token-based projects without immediate registration if they meet specific conditions. At the same time, the SEC issued fresh guidance clarifying that some categories such as payment stablecoins, digital commodities, mining, staking, and certain airdrops may fall outside securities treatment, marking one of the clearest shifts yet toward tailored crypto rules instead of regulation by enforcement.

A U.S. appeals court temporarily paused an order that had blocked Perplexity from using its agentic shopping tool on Amazon’s platform while the case is reviewed. This is less a product launch than a market-structure signal: agentic commerce is now important enough that platform access, browsing rights, and intermediary control are becoming live legal battlegrounds.

Kore.ai announced its Agent Management Platform (AMP), positioning it as a centralized system to govern, monitor, and manage AI agents and AI systems across enterprises. The strategic angle is governance: as multi-agent deployments spread, vendors are racing to own the orchestration and control plane, and Kore is explicitly targeting that layer before “AI sprawl” becomes a bigger enterprise pain point.
