AI app-builder Base44 has reportedly crossed $100M in annual recurring revenue (ARR) without raising any venture capital, marking one of the fastest bootstrapped growth stories in the emerging “vibe-coding” category. The platform allows users to build fully functional applications simply by describing them in natural language, automatically generating the code, database, and integrations required to run the product.

Founded by Israeli developer Maor Shlomo, Base44 grew rapidly through organic distribution and community buzz, reaching hundreds of thousands of users and millions in revenue shortly after launch. Earlier in its growth phase, the product scaled to roughly 250K users and about $3–3.5M ARR within months, demonstrating how AI-driven development tools can accelerate product creation and user adoption without large teams or external funding.

Payments Giants Embrace Agentic Commerce

Affirm, Klarna, and Nexi have announced major moves into agentic commerce, partnering with Stripe and Google Cloud to enable AI-driven purchases. These collaborations will allow AI agents to securely initiate transactions and offer flexible payment options like

Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) within autonomous shopping experiences. This signifies a critical step towards mainstream adoption of AI-orchestrated transactions, with a focus on secure and transparent payment flows. [1] [2] [3]

Google has introduced Cinematic Video Overviews in NotebookLM, a new feature that transforms research notes and documents into fully animated, story-driven video explainers. Instead of simple narrated slides, the system generates dynamic visuals and fluid animations to present ideas in a more engaging, cinematic format.

The feature uses multiple AI models — including Gemini, Nano Banana Pro, and Veo — to automatically structure the narrative, select visual styles, and generate animations tailored to the user’s source material. Gemini effectively acts as a “creative director,” making hundreds of decisions about pacing, visuals, and storytelling to convert complex research into an easy-to-consume video narrative.

Strategically, this pushes NotebookLM beyond a research assistant into an AI content-generation engine, where documents can automatically become multimedia explanations. As AI workflows evolve from summarizing information to producing media and educational content autonomously, tools like NotebookLM are positioning themselves as the interface between raw knowledge and consumable media formats.

Raycast has introduced Glaze, a new AI-powered tool that allows users to create desktop applications simply by chatting with an AI. The product aims to dramatically lower the barrier to software creation by letting users describe the app they want in natural language, with the system generating a functional desktop application in minutes.

Unlike traditional development environments, Glaze focuses on AI-driven “vibe coding” for desktop apps, where the AI handles the underlying architecture, UI generation, and logic while users iterate conversationally. The goal is to produce applications that are “beautiful, powerful, and truly personal,” enabling individuals or teams to build custom utilities tailored to their workflows without deep programming knowledge.

LiveKit has introduced Agents UI, an open-source component library built on shadcn/ui designed to help developers quickly build polished React frontends for voice and multimodal AI agents. The library provides ready-to-use UI patterns commonly needed in voice agent apps, including media controls, audio visualizers, session management tools, and real-time chat transcripts — all wired directly to the LiveKit Agents platform.

Developers can install the components through the shadcn registry, which places the full source code directly into their project so it can be customized with Tailwind CSS. The library includes interface elements such as microphone and session controls, animated audio visualizers, and conversation transcripts that reflect the agent’s listening, thinking, and speaking states in real time.

Strategically, the release targets a growing gap in the agent ecosystem: production-ready user interfaces for voice agents. While many frameworks focus on models and orchestration, LiveKit is positioning itself as the infrastructure layer that enables developers to ship complete, user-facing agent experiences — from real-time audio pipelines to the frontend components that make agents usable in real applications.
