Visa Pushes Agentic Commerce Into Live Merchant Access

Visa moved its European agentic-commerce program into a practical merchant-access phase. The company says AI agents are now completing purchases with participating merchants through Visa infrastructure.

The merchant side is enabled by Visa’s Trusted Agent Protocol and Agent Directory, which help merchants recognize verified agent traffic across platforms and environments. That identity signal can plug into existing risk, policy, and UX systems rather than forcing merchants to rebuild checkout from scratch.

Strategically, Visa is trying to make “trusted agent traffic” a payment-network primitive before agentic shopping becomes mainstream.

Harness Puts Autonomous Agents Into Software Delivery

Harness introduced Autonomous Worker Agents for software delivery workflows between code and production. The agents can help build, test, scan, deploy, remediate, and operate software using Harness’s Knowledge Graph for organizational context.

Harness emphasizes governance with scoped credentials, policy enforcement, approval gates, audit trails, sandboxing, and customer-controlled infrastructure through Delegates.The company is also offering an agent marketplace where teams can use, fork, and customize prebuilt agents.

Strategically, Harness is targeting the post-code agent opportunity: release engineering, operations, remediation, and production workflows.

Datadog Buys Adaptive ML to Train Better Agents

Datadog acquired Adaptive ML, a reinforcement learning operations startup focused on specialized AI agents and models. Adaptive ML will join Datadog AI Research to work on world models and agentic LLM post-training for observability and security.
Financial terms were not disclosed.

The strategic fit is that Datadog has production telemetry that can become feedback data for improving agents. For the agent ecosystem, this points toward observability platforms that not only monitor systems but also help train the agents operating them.

Nuvei Proves In-Agent Payments on Live Visa Rails

Nuvei completed a live agentic-commerce proof of concept with Visa, Arvato Systems, and fashion brand Kings and Priests. A merchant’s AI agent initiated a purchase on a shopper’s behalf and completed payment inside the agent, removing the handoff to a separate checkout flow.

Multiple European issuers participated, with transactions settled on live Visa rails using a tokenized credential inside Visa Intelligent Commerce. Shopper-set guardrails such as spend caps and approved categories kept the workflow permissioned.

Strategically, this turns agentic payments from protocol discussion into live-network execution, with merchants controlling the first-party agent experience.

Zoom Buys the Buyer-Intel Agent Layer

Zoom agreed to acquire Common Room, an AI-native go-to-market intelligence platform that turns fragmented signals into person-level buyer intelligence. Common Room’s RoomieAI agents handle account research, contact research, message personalization, and prospecting inside sellers’ existing tools.

The platform is used by teams at Atlassian, Anthropic, Autodesk, Notion, Okta, and Snowflake. Zoom says the acquisition extends Zoom Revenue Accelerator upstream by combining buyer context with sales conversations; financial terms were not disclosed.

Strategically, Zoom is moving from meeting intelligence into revenue-action infrastructure, where agents help decide who to target and how to engage before a call happens.

LinqAlpha Raises $22M for Investment Research Agents

LinqAlpha raised a $22 million Series A to build what it calls the Alpha Intelligence Layer for global public markets. The platform lets institutional teams deploy specialized AI agents that learn each user’s investment framework and surface market-moving signals before they are priced in.

The company says it serves more than 70 financial institutions across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Its buy-side clients collectively manage more than $5 trillion in assets.

Strategically, LinqAlpha is framing agents as proprietary research infrastructure for finance, not just analyst productivity tools.
