The Latest Agentic Development
OpenAI is reportedly in talks to raise a staggering $100 billion in new funding at a valuation as high as $830 billion. The massive war chest would fuel its AI infrastructure (it’s committing trillions in spend) and accelerate model rollouts amid fierce competition with rivals like Google and Anthropic. Investors’ appetite at this scale underscores confidence in the agentic AI ecosystem’s long-term value, even as broader tech sentiment cools.
Resolve AI – founded by ex-Splunk executives – raised a Series A round at a $1 billion valuation to build an autonomous Site Reliability Engineer agent that automatically troubleshoots and maintains software systems. The high valuation (on only ~$4 million ARR) signals sky-high interest in agent-based DevOps automation, as Resolve’s AI SRE promises to reduce outages and ops costs by diagnosing and fixing issues in real time amid talent shortages.
Aspect Health (led by a Forbes 30 Under 30 founder) unveiled Aida, billed as the world’s first AI agent acting as a personal dietitian, chef, and shopper all in one. Aida automatically designs meal plans, selects products, and orders grocery deliveries tailored to a user’s lab results, dietary needs, taste preferences, and budget – effectively translating complex health data into a stocked pantry of nutritious foods. By removing the “willpower tax” of grocery shopping and meal planning, this agent-driven service aims to turn medical advice into actionable, effortless healthy eating habits, connecting preventive healthcare directly to the dinner table.
Hitachi’s industrial tech unit launched a generative AI agent service to assist industrial workers with machine maintenance in real time. Part of Hitachi’s new HMAX Industry platform, the agent can be queried via tablet by equipment operators (e.g. asking about an abnormal noise) – it instantly analyzes live sensor data, equipment manuals, and expert knowledge to diagnose the likely cause and suggest fixes.
Can you scale without chaos?
It's peak season, so volume's about to spike. Most teams either hire temps (expensive) or burn out their people (worse). See what smarter teams do: let AI handle predictable volume so your humans stay great.
