Alipay Turns Millions of Merchants Into Agent-Ready Businesses

Alipay launched what it calls China’s first full-stack agentic commerce platform, giving merchants tools to turn products, services and business workflows into agent-ready Skills and MCP tools. The system is particularly aimed at merchants without their own AI infrastructure, potentially giving agents a standardized way to discover offerings and transact with businesses. Alipay CEO Cyril Han expects agentic commerce to accelerate over the next 6–12 months, connecting hundreds of millions of consumers with tens of millions of merchants.

The strategic shift: commerce infrastructure is being rebuilt for AI agents as customers, turning merchant systems into machine-readable services rather than interfaces designed only for humans.

Warp Productizes the AI Software Factory

Warp introduced Warp Factories, an infrastructure layer for running persistent agent loops across software development. It organizes work into triage, specification, implementation, review and verification stages and can orchestrate external coding agents including Codex and Claude Code, while integrating with Jira, Linear, Slack and Teams. Warp says its own internal factory now automates roughly 30–35% of weekly engineering tasks.

The strategic shift: coding agents are evolving from individual developer tools into persistent production systems where multiple agents continuously operate the software-development lifecycle.

Foxglove Gives Robotics Engineers an Agent for Physical AI Data

Foxglove launched an Agentic Data Platform for Physical AI, adding an agent that can work directly with robotics data. Engineers can ask questions in natural language, build visualization layouts, write user scripts and search recordings through Foxglove or MCP. A new Semantic Search capability lets teams find objects and scenes inside image and video streams using plain-language descriptions, with NVIDIA Cosmos powering parts of the workflow.

The strategic shift: agentic tooling is expanding beyond software and knowledge work into the messy multimodal datasets required to develop robots, autonomous vehicles and other physical-AI systems.

IMA Deploys Thousands of Agents Across 3,000 Employees

Insurance brokerage IMA Financial Group says more than 95% of its 3,000+ associates now use AI daily, with thousands of agentic workflows operating across the company. IMA has deployed thousands of AI agents for research, analytics, document comparison and workflow automation through its internal AI Studio, while letting employees identify and build around their own use cases.

The strategic shift: this is a useful production-scale benchmark for enterprise agents: adoption is moving beyond centralized pilots toward employee-built portfolios of specialized agents embedded throughout an organization.

TestMu Tests What Agents Actually Did not What They Claim They Did

TestMu AI launched Agent Assurance, an automated testing layer for both conversational agents and autonomous agents that call APIs, modify files, use tools or open pull requests. Instead of trusting an agent's transcript, the platform evaluates observable outcomes such as files changed, artifacts created and tool calls executed, while automatically generating functional, non-functional and adversarial tests.

The strategic shift: agent testing is beginning to resemble software integration testing: successful reasoning matters less than independently verifying the real-world effects an agent produced.

Hostinger Turns Its Website Builder Into an Agentic Business Platform

Hostinger launched a broader AI Builder capable of provisioning databases, authentication, ecommerce, applications and marketing—not merely generating websites. A year ago, fewer than 4% of projects built on Hostinger fell outside traditional websites; today nearly one in five are SaaS products, internal tools or learning platforms, roughly a fivefold increase. External assistants including Claude Code and Cursor can also operate Hostinger accounts through its Connector.

The strategic shift: website builders are becoming agent-controlled business infrastructure where AI can configure and operate the services behind an application, not simply design its interface.
