OpenAI Ships GPT-5.3 Codex and New macOS Agent App

OpenAI released GPT-5.3 Codex on February 5 (minutes after Anthropic's competing release), claiming it can "do nearly anything developers do on a computer" and create "highly functional complex games and apps from scratch over days." The model is 25% faster than GPT-5.2 and was instrumental in creating itself through self-debugging. Simultaneously, OpenAI launched a macOS app on February 2 enabling multi-agent parallel workflows, automated background tasks, and customizable agent personalities—directly competing with Claude Code and Cowork.

Crypto.com CEO Launches ai.com for Personal AI Agents

Crypto.com’s CEO Kris Marszalek announced the launch of ai.com, a consumer platform offering private, autonomous AI agents for everyday users. Slated to officially roll out Feb 8 alongside a Super Bowl commercial, ai.com lets anyone spin up an AI agent in under a minute to perform tasks on their behalf – from organizing schedules and sending messages to trading stocks or even managing a dating profile. A key feature is that these agents can self-improve: if an agent needs a new capability to complete a task, it can build that feature autonomously and share it across the network, so all agents become smarter over time. Marszalek envisions a decentralized network of millions (eventually billions) of such agents collaboratively learning, which he believes will accelerate progress toward true general AI
