The Latest Agentic Development
Google announced two agentic AI tools: Ads Advisor for automated campaign drafting/bid optimization, and Analytics Advisor for real-time insights; conversational interface aims to boost efficiency in digital marketing.
Amazon introduced Ads Agent, an AI-powered interface for drafting campaigns, bid management, and targeting via natural language; integrates with Marketing Cloud to democratize advanced ad ops for SMBs and enterprises.
Analysis predicts autonomous agents will transform digital markets via buying/selling/negotiating; urges platform redesigns for economic participation, circularity, and governance in agent-driven ecosystems.
Financial institutions are rapidly shifting key customer processes to AI agents, targeting areas like customer service, fraud detection, loan processing, and onboarding. A new Capgemini Research Institute report projects these agentic deployments could deliver up to $450 billion in value by 2028, with 33% of banks developing AI agents in-house and nearly half of firms creating roles to supervise them. Leaders are optimistic about an “agentic era” in finance, but adoption is still nascent only 10% of surveyed institutions have AI agents at full scale so far, underscoring the vast growth opportunity ahead.
McKinsey's State of AI 2025 survey of nearly 2,000 organizations revealed that while almost every company now uses AI, adoption and scaling remain early-stage. Key findings: 62% are working with AI agents, but only 39% are experimenting and just 23% are scaling agents, primarily in IT and knowledge management. Additionally, 32% of companies expect workforce reductions of 3% or more next year.
