These agents are designed to automate the assessment of legacy applications and their transformation into cloud- and AI-ready systems, drastically reducing planning time from months to minutes. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between code modernization and infrastructure governance, ensuring consistent and repeatable agentic execution across development and deployment environments.

Researchers from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Galbot, Shanghai Qi Zhi Institute, and Shanghai AI Laboratory introduced LATENT, a system that taught a Unitree G1 humanoid robot to rally tennis balls using only imperfect motion fragments from amateur human players rather than full match recordings. In real-world testing, the robot sustained multi-shot rallies with humans and achieved 90.9% forehand return success and 77.8% backhand return success, tackling one of robotics’ harder challenges: fast, reactive whole-body coordination against balls traveling at real tennis speeds.
Strategically, this matters because it suggests athletic humanoid skills may not require massive volumes of perfect demonstration data to become usable. That lowers the barrier to training embodied agents for dynamic real-world tasks, where fast perception, footwork, and physical response matter far more than static manipulation in controlled lab settings.
