MCP Goes Enterprise-Grade

The Agentic AI Foundation released what it calls MCP’s largest update since launch. The protocol now supports fully stateless deployments behind standard load balancers, a minimum 12-month deprecation window, stronger OAuth and OIDC validation, interactive MCP Apps and durable Tasks for operations that may run for hours or days. Strategically, MCP is evolving from a developer connector into enterprise-grade infrastructure for production agents.

Gemini Agents Get Budgets, Cron Jobs and Kill Gates

Google expanded Managed Agents in the Gemini API with Gemini 3.6 Flash as the default model, scheduled cron triggers, persistent sandboxes and environment hooks that can inspect, block or audit tool calls. Developers can impose total-token limits that pause an agent while preserving its state, or choose lower-cost models such as Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite. Google is turning agents into controllable, recurring cloud workers rather than one-off chat sessions.

Diagrid Adds a Black Box Recorder for Agents

Diagrid launched Catalyst 2.0 with durable execution across more than 10 frameworks, including LangGraph, Google ADK, Microsoft Agent Framework, CrewAI and the OpenAI Agents SDK. Failed workflows can resume from the exact interruption point, while cryptographic signing and attestation create verifiable records of what happened. Diagrid says the platform can run millions of concurrent workflows and deliver up to 10× the performance of standard Dapr deployments.

Nexla Pushes Agent Connectivity Past 1,000 Systems

Nexla surpassed 1,000 bidirectional enterprise connectors, allowing agents not only to retrieve information but also to write actions back into business systems. Its MCP Studio can convert selected connectors into governed, task-specific MCP servers with identity verification and complete activity logging. Nexla says it processes more than one trillion records and actions monthly and can build a new connector in a median of less than one week.

Barndoor Gives Every Agent Its Own Passport and P&L

Barndoor introduced AgentProfile, which assigns each agent a unique identity, human manager and dedicated credentials instead of allowing it to borrow an employee’s access. The profile consolidates tool calls, model usage, actions and spending while enforcing least-privilege policies and centralized deprovisioning. The product addresses a critical governance gap: companies need to understand not only what an agent can access, but who owns it and how much it costs.

Hush Lands $30M for Just-in-Time Agent Identity

Hush Security raised a $30 million Series A, bringing total funding to $41 million, with Akamai joining as a strategic investor. Its platform maintains a registry of enterprise agents, eliminates standing credentials, issues scoped just-in-time permissions, logs every action and provides a centralized kill switch. Kyndryl has deployed the technology internally and is also offering it to customers, giving Hush an immediate enterprise distribution channel.

Harmony Raises $34M to Replace the Internal Ticket Queue

Harmony raised a $34 million seed round led by Lightspeed for agents that handle employee requests across IT, HR, finance, procurement, legal and security inside Slack or Microsoft Teams. The company offers more than 100 prebuilt agents and reports 48% request deflection within two weeks, more than 75% after three months and over 80% employee adoption. Harmony’s larger opportunity is replacing fragmented internal service desks with one cross-functional agent layer.

Gartner: Ten Agents per Seller, Still No Productivity Guarantee

Gartner predicts that AI agents will outnumber human sellers 10 to one by 2028, yet fewer than 40% of sellers will say agents improved their productivity. Its survey of 210 chief sales officers found that leaders who redesign data, automation and user experiences are five times more likely to achieve AI returns. The warning is clear: adding more agents without rebuilding workflows may create agent sprawl rather than revenue growth.
