Coinbase’s Jesse Pollak said AI agents are becoming a major driver for programmable crypto payments. The thesis is simple: autonomous agents will need native ways to pay, settle, and access digital services without relying on traditional human checkout flows. That directly supports Base’s positioning as infrastructure for agent-to-agent and agent-to-merchant transactions. Strategically, this connects agentic commerce with on-chain payments, where wallets, identity, spending limits, and settlement can be programmable by default. Cancer Researchers Test Multi-Agent AI for Treatment Decisions

The ASCO Post covered a multiagent AI system designed to guide first-line immunotherapy decisions for non-small cell lung cancer. In a 58-patient study, the system integrated electronic health records, CT imaging, reports, histology, labs, and molecular data. Oncologists judged its statements correct 72% of the time, helpful 72% of the time, and complete 91% of the time, while 6% were considered harmful. The team plans to validate the system on a cohort of more than 700 patients and add human-in-the-loop controls.
