Caterpillar and NVIDIA announced an expanded collaboration aimed at accelerating an AI-enabled future, explicitly calling out on-board AI features and AI agents across Caterpillar’s product and manufacturing footprint. The strategic implication is big: agentic systems are moving from knowledge work into embedded, field-deployed industrial workflows (where reliability and safety matter).
Dynamic Infrastructure announced the public launch of its Engineering AI Agents platform after operating in stealth throughout 2025, citing deployments across U.S. local governments and civil infrastructure networks internationally. This is a “real-world agents” proof point: the wedge isn’t chat it’s operational inspection/engineering workflows with measurable value and scaling requirements.
Lenovo announced “Agentic AI” alongside Lenovo xIQ, framing it as a way to deliver full-lifecycle hybrid AI at scale (enterprise operations across build → deploy → manage). The tell: legacy infrastructure vendors are packaging “agentic” as an end-to-end product line, not a feature expect faster enterprise adoption via existing procurement channels.
Humantic AI launched Agent Miia, pitching multi-agent deep research that cuts enterprise account research from ~3 hours to ~8 minutes for sellers. The strategic implication: “agentic research” is getting productized into measurable workflow time savings, pushing buyers to evaluate agents like they evaluate tooling by minutes saved and win-rate lift.
Payments Dive published a Jan 7 piece arguing agentic commerce adoption will likely ramp via trust-building and smaller purchases, rather than immediate full autonomy.
