The Latest Agentic Development

commercetools launched AgenticLift, a standalone offering meant to help enterprises participate in agent-driven discovery → cart → checkout without replatforming. Strategically, it’s a bridge product: keep the existing stack, but make it “transactable” inside emerging AI shopping surfaces, reducing the friction for large merchants to show up where agents browse and buy.

Kasada launched AI Agent Trust, focused on distinguishing legitimate AI agents from malicious automation and applying policy-based controls over what agents can access. Key signal: a verified bots/agent directory and support for emerging standards like Web Bot Auth, pointing toward “agent identity + permissions” becoming mandatory infrastructure for agentic commerce.

Enterprise planning platform Board launched Board Agents on Microsoft Foundry, starting with FP&A and Controller Agents, with Merchandiser and Supply Chain Agents planned next. This is a clear “embedded agents” move: agents live inside governed planning workflows (data + access policies) rather than bolted-on copilots—aimed at faster ROI for finance and ops teams.

Harness unveiled the Human-Aware Change Agent, an AI incident agent that listens to Slack conversations, correlates them with deployments, feature flags, and infra changes, and surfaces evidence-backed hypotheses during outages. By operating as a continuous participant in incident channels—parsing natural-language discussion and linking it to change data—the agent effectively becomes an embedded SRE teammate, compressing mean time to resolution and expanding Harness from delivery automation into agentic incident management. Strategically, this is a concrete example of agents living inside collaboration tools and acting across delivery stacks, showing where real-world, production incident-response agents are starting to gain traction.

Datarails announced a $70M Series C (bringing total funding to $175M) alongside new Strategy, Planning, and Reporting AI Finance Agents that generate board-ready PowerPoint, PDF, and Excel outputs from unified ERP/CRM/HRIS + Excel data. The bigger signal: FP&A vendors are racing to become “agent layers” on top of messy finance systems—turning natural-language requests into decision artifacts, not just dashboards.
