CIBC Gives 50,000 Employees an Agentic AI Workspace

CIBC introduced CAI 2.0, a proprietary workspace that lets employees delegate complex, multi-step work to agents that can gather research, produce presentations, prepare pitchbooks, compare credit agreements and coordinate compliance tasks. The platform builds on CIBC’s existing AI deployment across more than 50,000 employees, with approximately 20,000 daily users and hundreds of active use cases.

CIBC says work that previously required half a day of financial analysis can become a review-and-refine workflow. Strategically, this is one of the clearest examples of a regulated bank moving beyond chat assistants toward governed agents operating across the enterprise.

Space-Eyes Takes Defense Agents Toward a $638 Million Nasdaq Deal

Space-Eyes agreed to merge with McKinley Acquisition Corp. in a proposed transaction valuing the combined company at approximately $638 million, assuming no shareholder redemptions. The deal includes access to as much as $75 million in PIPE financing and $176.7 million held in McKinley’s trust, with closing targeted for the fourth quarter of 2026.

Space-Eyes uses AI agents and its CATE AI engine to combine radar, radio-frequency, satellite and optical sensor data for counter-drone defense, maritime monitoring, wildfire detection and satellite control. The transaction shows public-market capital moving toward agentic systems that do more than analyze data—they coordinate real-time decisions across physical defense infrastructure.

LEO Launches 24/7 Investigative Agents for Public Safety

LEO Technologies introduced Verus ION, an agentic intelligence platform that combines communications, voice biometrics, video, records, financial information and other operational data used by correctional and public-safety agencies. Its agents can plan, execute and adapt multi-step investigative workflows around the clock while sending recommendations and findings to qualified personnel for human review.

The system is designed to surface patterns involving gang activity, contraband drone deliveries, assaults, falls, suicidal ideation and other safety risks before staff manually connect information scattered across separate systems. Strategically, Verus ION shows agents moving into highly specialized environments where proprietary data models and industry-specific ontologies may matter more than access to the most powerful general-purpose model.
