OpenAI published new data showing Codex has become the primary AI tool across the company, moving beyond engineering into Legal, Finance, Recruiting, Research, Support, and Operations. The company said Codex now accounts for more than 85% of output tokens for the average OpenAI worker and 99.8% of weekly output tokens generated inside OpenAI. The biggest signal is task length: 80.6% of sampled Codex users issued at least one request estimated to equal more than 30 minutes of human work, while 70.2% crossed the one-hour threshold.

OpenAI also reported that top internal users now generate more than 60 hours of Codex agent turns per day by running multiple agents in parallel. Strategically, this frames coding agents less as developer tools and more as general-purpose labor infrastructure for the enterprise.

The Linux Foundation announced the forthcoming Agent Name Service, an open standard designed to give autonomous AI agents trusted identity, verification, and discovery across the internet. ANS is built on DNS rather than a proprietary registry, aiming to anchor agent identity in existing internet infrastructure. The system is designed to verify provenance, detect whether an agent’s code or operational history has changed, and support decentralized identifiers and Legal Entity Identifiers.

The move responds to a core agentic-web problem: agents need to communicate, transact, and act across platforms without relying on human-style identity systems. If adopted broadly, ANS could become a foundational trust layer for agent-to-agent commerce, enterprise workflows, and machine-speed automation.

TinyFish announced a partnership with Glean to let enterprise AI agents search, read, and act on public web sources while staying grounded in secure company context. Through the integration, Glean agents can call TinyFish to search public sources, fetch pages and documents, extract structured data, and run multi-step web workflows. TinyFish says its web primitives include search, fetch, cloud browser, and web agent, with millions of workflows already running monthly for enterprise customers.

The company also claims search responses under 600 milliseconds, browser cold starts under 100 milliseconds, and the ability to run 1,000 web actions in 10 seconds. Strategically, this pushes enterprise agents from “internal knowledge assistant” toward live operational agents that can combine private company data with constantly changing external web information.

Claude vs Gemini. GPT-7 vs Llama 5. Which AI lab ships AGI first. These are live Kalshi markets with real money on both sides, updated in real time as releases land. The person who follows model cards and tracks evals has a genuine edge here. If that's you, trade it.

Elsevier expanded LeapSpace with new agentic capabilities for researchers, including Writing Coach, Claim Radar, Compare Tables, extended file upload, and reference export. The company says LeapSpace is grounded in more than 20 million full-text peer-reviewed articles and books, plus over 100 million scientific records from 7,000+ publishers on Scopus. The new tools are designed to help researchers draft, verify claims, compare literature, and structure evidence while keeping every recommended change under human approval.

Elsevier also reported that 97% of surveyed LeapSpace users save time, with more than half saving over 50% of their research time. Strategically, this is a strong example of vertical AI agents moving into high-trust professional workflows where citation grounding, evidence quality, and governance matter more than generic automation.

Winners Inc. launched an AI Agent Swarm for Mevu, its prediction-market platform. The beta suite analyzes publicly available on-chain wallet data and prediction market outcomes to surface transparency and data-driven insights for users. Modules include wallet analytics for identifying historically profitable “whale wallets,” copy-trading tools that let users opt in to mirror selected wallets, and performance scoring based on win rate, volume, and risk-adjusted returns.

The company emphasized that its agents do not predict the future but organize historical market behavior and public blockchain data. Strategically, this shows agent swarms moving into consumer-facing financial decision support, where transparency and risk disclosures will be critical.

AI Breakthrough announced the winners of its 9th annual AI Breakthrough Awards, recognizing companies and products across Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, computer vision, AI hardware, vertical AI, security, and more.

The 2026 program attracted thousands of nominations from more than 20 countries, signaling how fast AI has moved from experimental tooling into mainstream enterprise infrastructure. In the Agentic AI category, winners included Willow for Autonomous Decision-Making Platform of the Year, Talkdesk CXA for Multi-Agent AI System of the Year, Superhuman for Proactive AI Assistance Solution of the Year, Ensono for Overall Agentic AI Platform of the Year, and SoundHound AI for Overall Agentic AI Company of the Year.

AI Breakthrough said one of the defining trends this year is that agentic AI has moved from an architecture concept into production deployment, with autonomous agents operating across enterprise workflows with less human intervention. Strategically, the awards show that the agent market is splitting into clear subcategories — decision-making platforms, multi-agent systems, proactive assistants, and enterprise agent platforms — which makes 2026 feel like the year agentic AI becomes a recognized product category, not just a buzzword.
