Wix Launches an AI “Maestro” to Run Small Businesses

Wix launched Symphony by Wix, a standalone multi-agent platform that builds teams of specialized agents around a company's goals and workflows. A central Maestro agent monitors the business, delegates work, connects tools, reviews agent output and surfaces actions that require human approval; it can even run a daily “morning meeting” summarizing completed work and emerging priorities. Importantly, Symphony is platform-agnostic and does not require businesses to use Wix. The strategic shift: Wix is moving from website infrastructure toward becoming an operating layer for AI-run small businesses.

NVIDIA Makes Model Routing a Core Part of the Agent Stack

NVIDIA introduced Nemotron 3.5 Lightning, a 30B mixture-of-experts model optimized for high-volume agent tasks, alongside NeMo Switchyard, an open-source router that picks the best model for each step based on cost, latency and quality. NVIDIA says Lightning delivers up to 4× faster output and 30% faster agent-task completion; LangChain reported 74% lower cost across 145 multi-turn agent tasks, while Ramp saw 58% lower cost and 33% lower runtime. The bigger implication is that agent economics may increasingly depend on dynamically orchestrating many specialized models instead of sending every request to one expensive frontier model.

Google Lets Coding Agents Test Apps on Real Phones

Google Cloud announced the Developer Device Platform, which gives AI coding agents access to real physical devices and large fleets of emulators for testing, debugging and optimization. Its agent skill can independently run multi-step user journeys, identify visual problems, analyze chip performance and validate fixes, while smart sharding can distribute tests across hundreds of devices. Public preview begins August 12. This closes an important agent-development loop: coding agents can now move from writing software to autonomously testing it against actual hardware.

Mercury Gives AI Agents Their Own Corporate Cards

Mercury launched Agent Cards as part of its new Mercury Spend platform, letting companies issue dedicated payment cards to AI agents while controlling budgets, merchants and spending policies. Agents can make authorized purchases end-to-end, while humans retain the ability to set limits, audit transactions and immediately cancel access. This moves agentic commerce beyond experimental payment protocols into the same financial-control infrastructure companies already use for employees.

Oracle Builds Teams of Agents Into HR

Oracle added a broad set of agentic applications and AI agents to Fusion Cloud HCM, covering job architecture, learning, manager coaching, employee development and workforce planning. New capabilities include autonomous learning-content creation, a Grow Coach, an Enterprise Tutor and agents that analyze workforce skill supply versus demand. Because the agents operate inside Oracle's existing data, permissions, workflows and approval structure, Oracle is turning its HR system of record into a system capable of executing work, not merely recommending it.
