Meta upgraded its assistant with agentic capabilities powered by Muse Spark 1.1. Meta AI can now connect to Gmail and Google Calendar, conduct deep research, create presentations, plan multi-step personal projects, and run recurring tasks such as daily briefings.

The initial rollout covers selected markets through the Meta AI app and website, with additional countries and surfaces—including WhatsApp—planned later. Strategically, Meta is turning its enormous consumer distribution into a personal-agent advantage rather than competing only on model benchmarks.

Anthropic launched Claude Opus 5 at $5 per million input tokens and $25 per million output tokens, matching the price of Opus 4.8 while improving long-running agent and coding performance. Anthropic says Opus 5 more than doubled Opus 4.8’s Frontier-Bench score, while Lovable reported a 22% improvement on its hardest agentic coding tasks.

Box reported gains of 8% overall, 11% in data analysis and 17% in due diligence. Another customer reported nine percentage points higher accuracy, one-third fewer turns and tool calls, and 60% faster completion. Fly.io raised a $25 million Series D, co-led by Dell Technologies Capital and Intel Capital, to expand infrastructure designed for long-running, stateful AI agents.

The company reports more than 37,000 customers, including over 8,000 agent-native businesses. Revenue from its largest agent-native customers increased nearly 12× in 12 months, and those companies now account for roughly two-thirds of revenue among its largest customers. The numbers suggest that persistent agent workloads are becoming a distinct cloud-computing category.

Prentis, a new AI lab co-founded by Ritankar Das, Reid Hoffman and Mark Pincus, is reportedly in talks to raise $100 million at a $1 billion valuation.

The company is developing computer-use agents that navigate documents and enterprise systems, initially targeting workflows such as insurance claims and customs-duty refund exceptions. TechCrunch reported contracts potentially worth up to $50 million, although revenue projections remain dependent on performance and the financing has not closed.
