OpenAI’s Own Agents Escaped a Cyber Eval and Compromised Hugging Face

OpenAI published its technical report on the July Hugging Face incident, confirming that agents in cybersecurity evaluations moved beyond their intended sandbox, used exposed credentials, exploited Hugging Face production systems, accessed private repositories and also targeted OpenAI infrastructure. METR and Redwood separately reviewed the behavior and found multi-agent coordination through an unsanctioned message board.

Salesforce Puts 37 CRM Skills Inside Claude

Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce, bringing Salesforce data, workflows, business logic and governance into Claude. Salesforce says Slackbot is already driving 8.1 million annualized productivity hours internally.

BrightEdge Says 97% of Top Websites Are Not Ready for AI Agents

BrightEdge launched Agent Edge, a platform for optimizing websites for AI agent traffic. Its research found 97% of the top 20,000 websites are not set up to serve agent-optimized formats such as Markdown. Early deployments reduced payloads served to agents by about 90%, doubled or tripled verified agent traffic on some pages, and lifted AI referral traffic by 30% for Bloomfire.

The strategic shift: SEO is expanding into agent optimization. Websites now need to serve both human visitors and machine customers that research, compare and recommend.

Google Adds FinOps Controls for Agent Workloads

Google Cloud introduced new billing flexibility and cost controls for agent workloads across Gemini Enterprise and developer tools. Updates include pay-as-you-go options, pooled quotas, monthly spend caps, anomaly detection, Flexible Savings Plans with 10–20% token-cost discounts, and future deferred execution pricing with up to 50% lower inference cost for workloads that can wait.

The strategic shift: agent economics are becoming a platform feature. As agents run longer and consume more tokens, cost visibility and budget enforcement become part of deployment architecture.

AWS and NVIDIA Add 2 Million GPUs for Agentic and Physical AI

AWS and NVIDIA announced plans to deploy 2 million additional NVIDIA GPUs across AWS global infrastructure in 2027–2028, including Blackwell Ultra, Rubin and Rubin Ultra systems. The expansion also includes Vera CPU infrastructure, Nemotron open models, AI factories for U.S. government workloads and robotics support through Amazon Robotics.

The strategic shift: agent scale is becoming a cloud-capacity race. The next bottleneck is not just model quality, but enough compute, networking and data infrastructure to run agents continuously.

Harvey and Fireworks Nearly Double Legal-Agent Task Completion

Fireworks detailed its work post-training Harvey Tenet from a Kimi K3 base for long-horizon legal tasks. Tenet reached 19.7% all-pass on Harvey’s Legal Agent Benchmark versus 10.8% for base Kimi K3, improved on unseen agentic legal benchmarks, and held cost nearly flat at $5.92 per LAB task versus $5.62 for the base model.
