OpenAI Launches Dots, Meta Expands Muse: AI Agents Go to Work
Oracle adds 25 Fusion Claw apps, Relevance AI launches Invent 2.0, MongoDB previews Atlas Agent Engine, and Reco raises $55M for agent security.

Product teams aren’t short on ideas. They’re missing a system.
Jira Product Discovery gives teams one place to capture customer feedback, prioritize ideas with consistent frameworks, and build living roadmaps everyone can align on. And when it’s time to build, those decisions connect directly to delivery in Jira, so everyone can see how the roadmap turns into real work.

🗺️ Agents Landscape Map
OpenAI introduced Dots, persistent agents that work across connected apps using their own cloud computers and browsers. Use cases include preparing tested code changes, updating sales proposals, and producing content. Rollout begins for Pro and Business Premium, with administrator-enabled enterprise beta access. Specialist enterprise pilots give agents their own identities and credentials. Background proactive research is restricted to read-only tools.
The strategic shift: Personal assistants are becoming persistent workers, making permissions, ongoing context, and review controls central product features.
Meta launched Muse for Small Business, adding skills and connectors for tools including Shopify, Stripe, QuickBooks, Canva, Slack and Notion. Muse also connects to Facebook Pages, Instagram professional analytics and Meta advertising accounts to support business planning and operations. Meta says publishing, sending and spending require approval.
The strategic shift: Meta is using its existing business relationships to position Muse as an operating assistant across marketing, commerce and administration.
Oracle introduced Fusion Claw, an execution environment combining AI reasoning with deterministic computation for complex business processes. Twenty-five Claw-powered applications are available, within a broader portfolio of 75 agentic applications. Capabilities include research, modeling, simulation and continuous replanning, with enterprise governance controls. Oracle says separating reasoning from high-volume computation can improve operating economics.
The strategic shift: Enterprise automation is moving toward systems that reserve model reasoning for decisions and use conventional computation for repeatable execution.
Most AI Tools Weren't Built for This
B2B customer issues move across teams and systems, not through a single chat window. A new Harvard Business Review Analytic Services briefing paper, sponsored by Front, breaks down where AI tools fall short in B2B service and what to ask before you invest.
Relevance AI launched Invent 2.0, which maps business processes, builds specialist agent teams, connects tools and establishes evaluations before deployment. It then monitors live performance and proposes tested improvements. Customer Secure Code Warrior says work that previously required weeks of building now takes less than a day, according to the announcement.
The strategic shift: Agent builders are expanding into ongoing quality management, where maintaining reliable workflows matters as much as creating them.
MongoDB introduced Atlas Agent Engine, combining agent execution with memory and governance. The platform supports multiple memory types and checks tool permissions when actions occur. It is in public preview for Atlas customers, with memory and governance layers usable independently of the runtime. The company also introduced Atlas Infinite to separate compute and storage.
The strategic shift: Database providers are competing to supply the memory, permissions and infrastructure needed to move agents into production.
Reco secured an additional $55 million, bringing total funding to $140 million. Investors include AT&T Ventures, Forestay and Quadrille Capital. The company protects agents and the enterprise environments they access, and plans to expand sales, partnerships, channels and customer support as customers move toward wider deployments.
The strategic shift: Investors are backing security platforms that address agents’ access across interconnected business applications.
