Microsoft Is Turning Copilot Into an Agentic Super App

Microsoft confirmed plans to combine Copilot chat, coding, Cowork, and autonomous “Autopilots” within a unified application for consumers and businesses. Satya Nadella described the progression as moving from chat to collaborative work and then to agents that operate more independently.

Microsoft is consolidating its growing collection of agent experiences into one control surface, potentially making Copilot the operating environment through which users assign and supervise work.

Robinhood’s Trading Agents Reach Nearly 100,000 Accounts

Robinhood said its Agentic Trading product has attracted nearly 100,000 accounts and more than $100 million in assets under custody since launching in May. The product lets customers use AI-powered agents to trade equities, options, and cryptocurrencies.

The early adoption indicates that consumers are becoming willing to let agents perform consequential financial actions, although trust, suitability controls, and execution safeguards will remain critical.

MoonPay Gives ChatGPT and Claude Agents a Payment Vault

MoonPay launched PayBox, a payment vault that allows agents operating through ChatGPT and Claude to move, trade, and spend money without taking custody of a user’s funds. Users can approve individual transactions with a passkey or define limits within which an agent can act autonomously.

PayBox supports cards, cryptocurrencies, Solana, and EVM-compatible networks, targeting use cases such as shopping, restaurant reservations, and travel bookings. Secure, permissioned payment infrastructure is becoming a foundational requirement for agentic commerce.

Freehand Raises $75M After Its Supply-Chain Agents Recover Up to 10% of Spend

Freehand raised $75 million to expand AI teams that negotiate supplier rates, enforce contracts, process payments, and reconcile procurement data for companies including Meta, Unilever, Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Dunkin’, and Cardinal Health. The company reports that early deployments recovered 5% to 10% of addressable spend, completed workflows five to seven times faster, and reduced procure-to-pay cycles by more than 70%.

This is unusually concrete evidence that vertical agents can move beyond analysis and directly manage enterprise transactions with measurable financial returns.

ChipAgents Adds $60M to Automate Semiconductor Design

ChipAgents raised another $60 million, bringing its Series A funding to $131 million. The Nvidia partner is building specialized agents and models for chip design and verification work that can traditionally cost hundreds of millions of dollars and take years to complete and is expanding its collaboration with Nvidia.

The round shows investor attention shifting toward highly specialized engineering agents that can operate expensive professional tools rather than general-purpose workplace assistants.

Encore AI Raises $30M to Clone the Behaviors of Top Salespeople

Encore AI raised a $30 million Series A for technology that analyzes the techniques used by a company’s best sales representatives and deploys those behaviors through voice, chat, IVR, and digital-form agents. The platform targets regulated industries and supports customer interactions in multiple languages.

Unlike many customer-service agents focused on reducing costs, Encore is positioning autonomous agents as revenue-producing digital workers capable of replicating successful human sales patterns.
